Sue Maslin receives the 2020 Chauvel Award presented by Kylie Munnich, CEO Screen QLD.

Established in 1992, in honour of two of Australia’s most significant filmmakers, Charles and Elsa Chauvel, the Award acknowledges significant contribution to the Australian Screen Industry. Sue was recognised by the Chauvel Committee members – Kylie Munnich, Mike Selwyn, Bruce Molloy, Jan Chapman, Alan Finney and Melanie Coombs. Also in attendance on the evening were Ric Chauvel Carlson and Tina Carlson, grandchildren of Charles and Elsa Chauvel.

Says Maslin,“ I am deeply honoured to receive the 2021 Chauvel Award named after two inspirational filmmakers who kept making big-screen Australian movies against all odds. I am a huge fan of the GCFF and thank them for the opportunity to look back over 35 years of producing and find the connection – the desire to tell stories that empower others. I am so grateful to all of my brilliant creative collaborators, particularly Daryl Dellora, and to my partner Charlotte Seymour for making this journey possible”.
