ANZAC special

By April 18, 2012news

Two special titles are released in time for ANZAC Day. Thanks Girls and Goodbye, directed and produced by Sue Maslin and Sue Hardisty, celebrates the contribution of the Australian Women’s Land Army to food production during the Second World War. The title is re-released and repackaged as a special edition for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Australian Women’s Land Army.

Daryl Dellora’s Gallipoli: The Dawn Service is a portrayal of the last ANZAC Dawn Service held at the tiny Ari Burnu cemetery on Gallipoli, just a few hundred metres from the original landing spot. Granted exclusive access to the final ceremony, the filmmakers present a unique insight into the historic moment.

Both titles are available from the Australian War Memorial in Canberra and specialist shops throughout the country, as well as direct from Film Art Media.
